This road is a beautiful, quick little road. 10 minutes tops. There are some dangerous turns and quite a few large oak trees close to the edge of the road. There is little room for error, so watch it. My first experience with this road was as a passenger in a Lamborghini! (THIS ONE- on the right) I recommend a few passes at slower speeds till you learn the layout.

Watsonville has some neat roads, not high on my list of drives that I will do based on the distance away from my home, but this is just a taste of the way Eureka Canyon Road looks. Again, not in the 'fun' car, so you get 50% of the feel, but you'll get the idea: NOTE: currently from the late rainy season I am told the Summit Road is closed for the time being. It may re-open later, but right now it's probably on a low priority to fix based on the traffic it normally sees. It's supposedly had some landslides and so forth. The portion of the road I actually traveled this year is between A and half way between the first dot and the big left turn on Eureka Canyon Road. Last year it was a blast. This year it's closed. (Update: it’s open again as of 7/26/11 – but I would avoid it, since it’s rather rough, and not in good shape…) Too bad – but there are other roads!

MAP: The video above was taken approximately where the first white dot on the route from A > B is located.
